Why You Should Take This Assessment

Cancer is a complex disease that can start in any part of your body and spread elsewhere. Despite years of research, the precise cause of cancer is not known, although there are usually many contributing factors. Making certain lifestyle choices, therefore, can go a long way toward preventing cancer. While changing habits is no guarantee that you won't get cancer, it can improve your odds. These same lifestyle changes can also help prevent heart disease and stroke, maximize your overall health, and possibly improve your quality of life.

How To Prepare For This Assessment

Before starting, you should gather the following information, if you have it:

• Family history of cancer
• For women, the date of your last pap smear and mammogram
• For men, the date of your last prostate specific antigen (PSA)
• For women and men, the date of your last screening for colon cancer

However, you can still benefit from the assessment, even if you don't have this information.
